Big improvements in Skipper. Download 3.2.16 version

Hello,

We would like to let you know, that we have just released a new Skipper version, which brings you a huge bundle of big changes and improvements. You can download it from Skipper download site or launch Skipper and let auto-update to do this work for you.

So what are the new features?

Dynamic Field Templates

This feature allows you to manage your entities even faster. How?

  • With a new predefined list, you can add a new column to the entity just by a few simple clicks.
  • Predefined values are fully customizable. Modify them to fully fit your needs.
  • The function can be used by "Add Field Template" button or by keyboard shortcut ALT+INSERT.

Direct Database Import

From now you can import your projects directly from the database.

  • Supported database formats are MySQL, SQLite, MS SQL Server and Postgres.
  • You can import your model to all supported ORM frameworks - Doctrine, Doctrine2, Propel, CakePHP and Laravel (beta version)

And what else does this update bring?

  • Middle mouse button moves with a diagram viewport.
  • Association alias validator for ORM frameworks where aliases are required (Doctrine, Doctrine2, Laravel)
  • New validator for invalid multiple primary keys with enabled autoincrement
  • Configurable format for "Generate alias" buttons in association wizards
  • Automatically defined owner-side aliases in plural form for Doctrine2
  • Fixed issue in Doctrine2 when exporting multiple join columns
  • Some other bugfixes and enhancements (full changelog here)

If you have any feedback or ideas about the new features, we would be happy for letting us know. Write to us on our support forum or send an email to [email protected].
